Getting Started

To earn a certification, you'll first need to register for the corresponding exam in GitLab University. We recommend beginning with the GitLab Certified Git Associate exam before taking any others as this assesses foundational knowledge and skills for using GitLab.

Certification Requirements

To earn a technical certification, candidates must:

  1. Pass a knowledge exam or written assessment with a score of 80% or better.
  2. Pass a hands on exam with a score of 80% or better.

Access to a GitLab demo environment to complete hands-on practical application assessments when required.

Digital verification of certification status and date awarded by GitLab.

Hands on exam submissions graded by GitLab Professional Services Engineers.
